Inaugurated in 2007, China Cup International Regatta is the first-ever and only big boat sailing regatta initiated by Chinese. Approved by the General Administration of Sport of China, the regatta is held annually and each year it attracts over 60 boats with 600 sailors of more than 20 nationalities to compete in the event, gaining wide attention from sailing community and international media.
Based on the past three years’ success and experience, the organizing committee is confident to make the fourth CCIR better and more professional and at the same time keep promoting the sport of sailing and a nautical lifestyle in China as committed.
Under the auspices of Chinese Yachting Association and Executive Office of Organizing Committee for the Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade, the 4th CCIR will be managed by Shenzhen Administration of Culture, Sport, Tourism and China Cup International Regatta Management Co.,Ltd. Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and Shenzhen Vanke Longcheer Yacht Club will provide venue and professional support.
Besides the race, wonderful cultural events will continue to add the fun of the regatta.
